THE INAUGURAL CEREMONY OF THE TCV CENTRE
             FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION, CHAUNTRA (H.P.)
                      ( ON NOVEMBER 21, 2009 )
Introduction:

The TCV Centre for Special Education was first established in 2005 with 12 special need children who need special care and education. These children are drawn mostly from other branches of TCV schools. This Centre is affiliated with TCV School, Chauntra (H.P.). Currently, there are 29 special need children who are being taken care of and educated by three trained and experienced Special Educators and a very kind and compassionate Home matron.

New Building for the Centre:
Until recently, these children were housed in a common Home in the school with no provisions for special facilities that are usually needed in such a Centre. Therefore, the Friend of Tibet, Luxembourg, has been very generous to fund the construction of a new building for the special need children within the campus of TCV School, Chauntra.

The construction works began in February 2008 and completed in September, 2009, and shifting to the new building was done on October 30, 2009.
