The School at Patlikuhl with over 600 children majority of whom are orphans and destitute was routinely threatened by fierce flooding specially during monsoon due to the change of course of the River Beas. With the State Government declaring the region as flood "Danger Zone", we were left with no option but to evacuate and relocate the school to a new facility before any serious tragedy occurred.more

Earthquake Drill (Drove, Cover, Hold On)
Earthquakes are unpredictable events of nature. They
may be slight tremors, which are hardly felt by anyone, or great events of destruction, which can cause the death of hundreds of people. As a result of the potential threat that this natural event has on the lives of people across the world it is most important
that we are prepared to survive during this unpredictable event.
Schools house up to thousands of students each day and, as such, the threat of an earthquake is very great. It is most important that schools undertake regular earthquake drills, which will help to familiarize both students and staff to the ways in which to survive during an earthquake.
On 5th April, our whole students and staff participated in the earthquake drill. During the day, students were taught dos and don't during the event of earthquake. At 11:00 am exactly, our school bell rang to alert the staff and students of an earthquake, followed by all the recognized components of an earthquake drill. This drill helped our staff and students to be more prepared for the unpredictable strike of an earthquake.
The entire exercise was done as per the programme initiated by the GeoHazards International & Library of Tibetan Works and Archives to commemorate the Kangra Earthquake of 1905.
