TIBETAN CHILDREN'S VILLAGE SCHOOL CHAUNTRA The School at Patlikuhl with over 600 children majority of whom are orphans and destitute was routinely threatened by fierce flooding specially during monsoon due to the change of course of the River Beas. With the State Government declaring the region as flood "Danger Zone", we were left with no option but to evacuate and relocate the school to a new facility before any serious tragedy occurred.Much awaited project at Chauntra, 80 km away from Dharamsala was started on early 2000. |
